Newborn photography here on Long Island is HUGE. Everyone is doing it.

BUT not everyone is doing it the same. Just a few things you should really consider when choosing a photographer for your little newborn.

It is so important to choose a photographer who’s work fits YOUR style. Do you like “kitchy” or classic? Neutrals or bold colors? Think about what you envision you photos to look like and find that photographer.

Another really important thing to look for is experience. With everyone wanting newborn photography, Long Island is now flooded with new photographers each day.

In newborn photography there are no “do-overs”. The window for posed newborn sessions is so short because after the first 2 weeks, babies are not as sleepy and flexible. You would be surprised how many emails I get from potential clients who were unhappy with images from other photographers they had booked because they were in the “right” price range. It breaks my heart having to say no, because the time they reach out, that 2 week window as passed and my calendar is full.

NOTHING is worse than having to say no to a newborn mom. Nothing.

So don’t delay. Find a photographer you LOVE and book YOUR session!!!
